A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO WA4BGK, W4QEJ, VE2EVY, and their group for allowing us to hold our inaugural net this evening! What a GREAT bunch of guys! I would like to encourage everyone to drop in with this group on Sundays and Thursdays and pass along your appreciation to them! I have also extended a special invitation to this group to check in with us and that will certainly bring out a number of additional states in the Southeast U.S. as well as at least one Canadian province! Our good neighbors policy means that we will be flexible and we have agreed to NOT hold nets on 3905 kHz on Sundays and Thursdays. Instead we will make plans to start up the 80m CW and PSK/RTTY nets earlier than initially planned. Near the end of the net tonight we were contacted by NW6DX advising of another long-standing nightly schedule starting at 0530z. We will respect their time and turn the frequency over to them each evening we operate on 3905 kHz at 0530z. If the net looks to run over we will respectfully ask that group for permission to run over a few minutes to finish up. We will need to make sure that we get through the round as quickly as possible in order to ensure that everyone gets at least one turn! The suggestion was made that we consider issuing membership numbers. While it is not our intent to become an organized "club" per se, we will issue numbers on the Inaugural Net and first week of operations certificates. During the next few days we seek the input of all participants on how to issue membership numbers. Your ideas and suggestions are appreciated! Please respond to the new poll on the front page regarding this!!!

Thanks to everyone who checked in tonight to the Inaugural Net. I appreciate how helpful and cooperative everyone was on the net especially with relays as the band was changing rapidly up and down! All Inaugural Net Certificates are now ready for download! The award is published as a PDF file. I recommend you print this on high-quality gloss cardstock. Be sure to set your printer options to the highest print quality! You may also want to either email or take the file on a thumb drive or CD to your local print shop if you don't have access to a color laser or inkjet printer. To retrieve your certificate click on your callsign in the list below! K4QHH gets Certificate Number 1!!!
